All bookings made at Wagdale confirm you and anyone else attending our facility have read and agree to our Terms and Conditions policy


Wagdale Field Hire

The use of our facility is solely for dog owner(s) and their dog(s) to have the freedom and have fun in a safe and secure environment on an appointment only basis – giving you the exclusive access to use our facility without any other people or dogs inside the area at the same time.

The only time owners and their dog(s) will mix with others is during group events hosted at Wagdale.

The maximum number of dogs for exclusive day-to-day bookings is 8 dogs. For larger bookings, please call us on 07786 255011 or email paws@wagdale.co.uk  

You MUST NOT turn up or use our facility without pre-booking. Bookings can be made up to 2 hours in advance if you decide to visit at a short notice.

Please DO NOT bring dog(s) with any kind of virus or disease to our facility. For example, if your dog(s) has kennel cough, diarrhoea, or sickness etc.

All dog owners agree to act responsibly when on site with reference to the health and wellbeing of their own dog, and other dogs when attending any group events.

Hirer/User Own Risk

It is the responsibility of the hirer/user to ensure the exercise field and woodland area is safe and suitable for their dog(s) prior to letting them off lead.

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times whilst moving between the car park and our woodland area or the exercise field. 

The use of our facility including all areas (car park, woodland area and exercise field) is entirely at the hirer/user’s own risk.

The proprietors of Wagdale accept no liability for any damage to property, injury or death of any person or dog using our facility.

The proprietors of Wagdale accept no liability for any damages, losses, claims, actions, costs / expenses or other liability incurred by the hirer/user when using our facility, whether using the fields exclusively, or whilst attending a group event.

The hirer/user agrees that the proprietors maintain control and possession of the exercise fields and equipment at all times.

The hire of the field DOES NOT constitute any rights over any of the land.

Vaccinations

All dogs visiting our facility must have a valid vaccination in place on the date of your selected appointment(s). If your dog(s) DOES NOT have a valid vaccination certificate, please gives us a call on 07786 255011 or send an email to paws@wagdale.co.uk

Regular spot checks are carried out on site for valid vaccination certificates, so please ensure you have a printed copy or access to a digital copy of your dog(s) vaccination certificate during the time of your visit.

Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations or titre tested, and regularly treated for flea, tick and worm prevention.

If titre testing we also recommend the leptospirosis vaccination. Proof of vaccinations or titre tests must be brought to the introduction session.

The kennel cough vaccine is advisable but not obligatory. 

Safety + Security

Our field and woodland area is surrounded by 2 meter high fencing, securely fixed into the ground 0.45m with netting around the bottom. If your dog has the ability to clear a 2 meter high fence, then our facility may not be the suitable place for you and your dog(s).

Every reasonable effort is made to secure our facility and is regularly checked to ensure the best safety possible for our customers and their dog(s).

To ensure the well-being of all dogs you should maintain a maximum of 3 dogs per adult on site.

CCTV surveillance is in operation at Wagdale to ensure the safety and security of all patrons and their canine companions.

Padlock Code

The padlock code to open and enter our main gate will be sent to you via SMS/text message and email 2 hours before your appointment time.

It is the hirer/user’s responsibility to check they have received and know the padlock code in order to enter the facility for their session.

Under no circumstances should you give or tell anyone the padlock code for entry to our facility, or let anyone else in during your appointment time. We ask this to ensure everyone entering the area are bona fide and booking customers.

XL Bullies

Exemption Approval: Prior to booking, XL Bully owners must email their exemptions to paws@wagdale.co.uk

On-Lead and Muzzled Entry: XL Bullies must remain on lead and muzzled until inside the main field and the gate is securely closed and locked. This precaution ensures the safety of all visitors and their canine companions.

Individual Walks Only: XL Bullies can only be walked individually in a 1-2-1 setting with an adult present. 

No Group Interactions: Unfortunately, XL Bullies cannot engage in meet-ups or interactions with other dogs in the field. 

Timely Arrival and Departure: Please adhere to your scheduled appointment time. Arriving promptly and leaving at the end of your booked session to ensure no cross over with other Wagdale users.

Our Premises

There is no running water on site, so please ensure you bring your own water.

There are no toilet facilities available at Wagdale (for humans).

NO littering or leave any rubbish lying around on site. Dogs can climb into plastic bags or choke on small pieces or rubbish, so to prevent injury or death to yours or other dogs, please ensure you dispose of any rubbish in the bins provided to take away with you.

NO smoking or vaping in the field, or woodland area.

NO barbecues or fires are allowed.

NO climbing on the fencing, gates, trees or any equipment in our facility.

Please DO NOT allow your dog(s) to jump at the fencing.

Please DO NOT allow your dog(s) to dig holes on the field. If they do, please fill in any holes to prevent accident or injury before you depart the field at the end of your time slot.

To ensure that dog owners with anxious, reactive or recovering dogs can enter and exit our facility safely and without the risk of seeing another dog, please DO NOT enter before your allocated time.

If anyone tries to enter the field/woodland area during your appointment time, please let us know as soon as possible by calling 07786 255011

All areas must be kept clean and tidy. Any mess left during your session should be cleared up before your departure. ANY POO MUST BE CLEARED UP AND DISPOSED OF USING THE BINS PROVIDED.

Arrival + Parking

It is the hirer/user’s responsibility to turn up on the right date and time. The proprietors of Wagdale accept no responsibility for missed appointments.

If you arrive early, please position your vehicle to the left or right side of the main gate entrance, so you do not cause an obstruction on Wymondham Road or the track to the field.

Please DO NOT stop or wait in front of the neighbouring field gate or on the main road.

Please DO NOT open the main gate if there is someone else in the car park, exercise field or woodland area.

If you arrive late to your allocated time slot, you must still leave when your time slot is finished.

If there is someone in the field that has overstayed their time and does not appear to be leaving, please call us on 07786 255011

You must let the people using our facility before you exit the car park safely and lock the gate behind them. This follows procedure here at Wagdale to ensure complete safety for all our customers and their dog(s).

Please DO NOT distract other people's dogs.

Once the people before you have left safely, please open the gate using the padlock code provided, drive into the parking area and close/lock the main gate behind you before releasing your dog(s).

A maximum of three vehicles/families are allowed in the field at a time unless by prior arrangement.

Hazards

The field is a pasture/woodland area and as such there may be natural hazards.

The hazards you may encounter, include but are not limited to uneven ground, wild animal burrows, mole hills, biting insects, thorns, stinging nettles, foreign objects, sticks/twigs, holes and certain weather conditions may cause the field and/or parking area to become slippery or other hazards caused by prevailing weather conditions.

Please DO NOT allow your dogs to dig, if they do, fill the hole to prevent accident/injury to others and report the hazard.

Please DO NOT throw sticks for your dog(s) in the vicinity of others as this can be very dangerous.

Please let us know of any potential problems straight away.

Equipment

If you decide to bring your own equipment to our facility, please make sure you take your equipment along with any broken parts away with you when vacating our facility.

The proprietors of Wagdale DO NOT accept responsibility for any human or canine injury caused by the use of our own equipment, your own equipment (or broken parts), or any equipment / broken parts left by the previous user of our facility. To prevent injury, we kindly ask all dog owners/users of the facility to check it is suitable for their dog(s) before letting them of the lead.

Any of your own toys (especially balls) must be taken away with you at the end of your appointment.

Escape

All dogs should be insured under their owner's public liability insurance. The proprietors accept no responsibility or liability for escaped dogs.

All precautions are taken to prevent any dog(s) from escaping, but in the rare event of an escaped dog, please call us on 07786 255011 and we will do our best to help where possible.

Events

Dog Behaviour and Control

Owners must ensure that the dogs they bring to Wagdale are friendly, well-socialised, and easily controlled in a group environment. 

Any aggressive or disruptive behaviour by a dog may result in the owner and their dog being asked to leave the event.

All participants are expected to follow the instructions and guidelines provided by Wagdale staff during the event. 

Liability

While all reasonable measures are taken to ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs and participants at events, Wagdale and its staff shall NOT be held liable for any injury, harm, loss, or damage to dogs, participants, or property that may occur during the event. 

Owners are solely responsible for the actions and behaviour of themselves and their dogs at all times.

Photography and Advertising

Wagdale staff may take photographs during events for advertising and promotional purposes, including use on social media, website and other platforms. 

By attending events at Wagdale, all dog owners and individuals agree that Wagdale and its representatives have the right to use any photographs taken during any event for advertising and promotional purposes without compensation or notice.

Owners retain no ownership or rights to photographs taken by Wagdale staff or other photographers on site.

Departure

You must vacate the site before your time slot has finished. Your booking contains a 5 minute site clear up.

Please ensure your dog(s) is on a lead or secure in your vehicle while you’re locking the gate.

Always lock the gate using the padlock even if you see someone else waiting for their appointment.

Payments

We accept most debit and credit cards.

Payments are collected using Square; our secure payment platform.

We DO NOT accept responsibility for card details entered incorrectly.

On the booking confirmation screen, you will have the option to create an account, which will securely save your details for a faster checkout next time (not compulsory).

From your second booking with us, you will have the option to safely store your debit or credit card information for an even faster checkout next time (not compulsory).

Cancellation Policy

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule bookings at any time if essential.

You have the ability to reschedule any appointments or cancel and receive a refund up to 24 hours prior to your appointment time. Refunds cannot be processed in under 24 hours of your appointment time.

Refunds have to be manually processed and can take up to 7 working days. If you do not receive your refund within 7 working days, please notify us by emailing paws@wagdale.co.uk
